Teen Self Esteem Storys

Im sure there are thousands of people that can give you a different story of how they had huge self esteem problems when they were younger and how they overcome it. However, some people never overcome it and have to live with it, although there are ways to improve your self confidence.

Let me tell you brief story of a teen that had great self esteem and self confidence problems that teen was me.

When i was a kid i was very shy, i had a few friends but i talked very little, i was very shy but i had no problems with anyone, in fact i had a good relationship with my friends. However, when i was a teen, once i went to high school i started to have problems with classmates, they made fun of me and told me bad things, i didnt say anything or do anything i was very shy.

Then the next year the problems got worst a few of my classmates were not just doing fun of me, but they throw things at me and hurt me, there was another guy that constantly beat me in class with a iron ruler. My self esteem and self confidence were really down i had none.

I felt really embarrassed in front of my other friends because i was the insecure and weak guy of the class because i didnt do anything against those that hurt me. I was too afraid of doing something bad or hiting them, i had no confidence in me and teachers did nothing, there were too many students in the classroom.

Those events at high school created in me a sense of low self esteem and i felt bad about my self. I didnt want to go out and i didnt want or like to go to school.

Then after high school i went to school to a foreign country were i had a great time and met some goo friends. My self esteem was still very low but i was improving and i was having fun, however i had problems talking with people and meeting girls.

Years later at the University i had to push my self to confront social activities and meet new people, that helped me to improve more and be more confident, overtime i started to gain self confidence and achieve more.

This is just a brief explanation of what happened to me in my teen years and how it affected me, the point is that you should never let anyone make you feel down, if some people hurt you, stay away from them and look for help, if you dont find support the consequences can be long term and difficult to overcome.
