Self Esteem Group Sessions |
Any person that has suffered from a trauma, social embarrassments or simply has a shy personality can have low self esteem. The are many possible causes for this kind of low self image but you can find ways to increase your self confidence by attending self esteem group sessions or following some useful tips.
Self esteem is the way we see ourselves, is our own self image of what we think about us, our capabilities and strengths. Some people just dont have that self confidence that others have it very easy and natural.
However there are different ways to help a person improve their self esteem, you can practice a few exercises, follow some principles or attend group sessions where every one will support you and you will share experienced with other people.
But why would you want to attend a group session? Simply because it will help you overcome your internal doubts, there are different activities that those groups do that will help you understand what is the root cause of your problem and how to boost your self esteem by doing some exercises with everyone else in the group.
For example the group session may begin by talking about what is self esteem and why you think some people have it and some dont. As a group you will evaluate what are the things that you consider more important in life and how they affect.
Then you will be asked to think about your influences in your childhood, what feelings, emotions, activities and fun things do you remember from your childhood? do you have positive memories or negative ones?
Then as a group you will analyze different ways to raise self esteem. Some of those could be:
creating good relationships that have positive effect in your life.
Have a good attitude with others, so you are perceived as a valuable person and you are treat it as such.
Have positive thoughts, what you believe and think is what you become, you do and you are what you think most of the time.
Those are some of the things that a self esteem group session do and they all share different experiences and success stories that motivate everybody, they also write down the most important things and exercise that they should be doing, keeping track of your progress is very important.
