Helping Students Develop Self Esteem |
Students especially when they are young they have self esteem doubts due to different circumstances, sometimes they have emotional problems, they growing up and facing new challenges, they have to make decisions that will change their lives or even family problems.
What the teacher has to do, is help them develop self esteem, sometimes all they need is a little motivation or a little wake up call to move forward and get things done.
There are many courses and books that talk about how to develop self confidence, however im going to give you a few tips and advice that you might want to use or help you for further research.
You need to tell them that they are capable of achieving more than they can imagine, that we all have our limits but they are far away, most people stop doing things and achieving goals because they think they dont have the ability or necessary skills to achieve it. However is said by experts that you can do whatever your mind can imagine.
Also, you need to tell your students that our feelings create our thoughts and our thought creates our actions. Tell them that your thoughts create what you are, you are in control of what you think, you and only you can change your self to achieve more than you ever though possible.
To develop students self esteem you can advice them that they should not be afraid of failure, they will face failure many times in their life, in fact if you dont fail you are not trying anything. The greatest achievers of our time have failed many times before achieving one great success, failure is just knowledge that you acquire of what doesnt work and how to move forward to achieve success.
